Rhetoric helps us read by giving us a more understanding of the differences and what it is we’re reading about. It influences how our writing will be interpreted and received, along with the surroundings of our writing. It helps us to think more critically about our writing and reading choices. We’ll be able to analyze and grasp the bias by placing similar text in the conversation with the reading. Rhetoric reading gives us readers a chance to construct meaning for our text by using not only our own knowledge but the text also. Rhetoric reading gives us the ability to understand things at a higher level than what we are used to reading. Our minds will expand and we’ll be able to see the persuasiveness of the wording and the text that we are focused on because without that understanding of a text or a speech that someone could be telling us, we wouldn’t be able to comprehend certain things. If you stuck with the simpler way of reading anything, how do you expect for your mind and ideas to grow? How will you be able to persuade or impress those with your speech or your writing? Rhetoric is an effective way to be more persuasive when speaking, like if you’re relaying facts to someone you want them to believe that those facts are true and not false and you would want to come off as if you know what you’re talking about. You could be talking to someone who feels discouraged about something, you want to be able to motivate them, not make them more discouraged. Everyone uses rhetoric in their daily lives every day, even if they don’t realize it. Just like how we could be using it without actually realizing that we are, rhetoric is a necessity for speaking and reading. The way you use it in your tone of voice, the way you use it in the way you speak, the way you use it when you’re writing or typing, and the way you use it when reading. It helps in our life all the time, you just have to know the correct way to understand it.
