My Relationship With Writing

Writing was always a subject I did fairly well in. Not to say I’m an advanced writer, but I did succeed at writing assignments more than others. I don’t write much in my free time, but when I am told to write, I tend to enjoy it as long as I know what to write about. Writing has never been an issue for me as much as deciding a topic, let alone starting my assignment. While I believe I am a strong writer, I would like to improve my ability to begin a writing assignment. I would like to strengthen my thesis statements, as well as discover better ways to approach a topic. I want to be able to quickly grasp the reader’s attention in one sentence. This would help me in my career in a few ways, for instance I would like to be able to write a film script with a good hook that will keep watchers invested. I would also like to be able to write about topics that not many people have thought about, but the audience would be interested in reading my work. To be able to write about a topic I enjoy while keeping the reader’s attention whether they also share an interest in my chosen topic is my main goal.
