Writing is an activity that allows many people to express their ideas, feelings, and thoughts. However, I don’t find writing to be as appealing. Not that I’m against the concept; it’s just that the act of doing it feels like a duty rather than an enjoyment. Every time I sit down to write, it feels like I’m fighting a tough opponent. It takes more than just typing on my laptop, it takes dedication, imagination, and a readiness to accept my weakness, since I am not good at writing. However, underneath all of this conflict is a recognition of the importance of writing. I understand the importance of it for self-expression and communication, even if it’s not my favorite task. Though difficult, this task offers new perspectives, especially after I hit the submit button and I am finally done. Using evidence is one of my writing strengths. For example, I was always very good at tying in the evidence and providing a clear explanation when I used to write essays using documents provided to me for the task. My goal is to get better at both the introduction and conclusion part of the essay. I never know what to include in the introduction and conclusion. Also, the beginning of each paragraph too, I never know how to begin.
