From an early age I was constantly taught the importance of knowing how to draft proper papers as they would help with my academic comings. My father and stepmother used to set me down and put a whiteboard up to lecture for hours on end just for the simple similes, juxtapositions, and such to really get these simple understandings in my head.  Of course, it is learning another language, so I did not get it the first few tries and sometimes fell asleep hearing the talk of commas and semicolons; these unfamiliar terms were frustrating, but I knew in my head that they were right. My stepmother was taught just the same as she was dishing out these lessons and from them to now, I learned that I have strengths and weaknesses and just like everyone else I write better with something I am passionate about, but other times I get mixed up in what to say or I add unnecessary thoughts. As a scholar, writing will follow me everywhere with all of my endeavors in school and especially when I become my very long dream of becoming a therapist. There are so many weaknesses I have when it comes to writing, and with this English course I hope to better my understanding of writing and improve on my writing for the future.
