How to properly form a portfolio and cover letter

I am sure we all know what a portfolio is but is there a correct way of making one? What is the use of a cover letter and how can you properly make one? A portfolio and a cover letter are two different things, but they sort of serve the same purpose. They are documents that provide more context on your work and accomplishments that are given to a superior. It has been said that using the CARS model for a cover letter is the optimal way of constructing one. CARS stand for “Create A Research Space” so you could imagine that in your cover letter, something that gives context on you, would benefit from the CARS model since whomever it will be given to has do conduct their own research on you for whatever the reason my be.

When creating a portfolio and cover letter it is important that you are reflective in it. It is a document that is about you, so you obviously have to be reflected on what you have done. Revision is very important while doing these things especially since this helps the reader get a better understanding of who you are and what your capable of.
